Picked up the iPhone today. Unfortunately I had to go to the AT&T store to keep my area code number. All they had were black models so that’s what I got. I’m happy with it so far. I’m actually using it to make this post. That’s all for now.

Tomorrow’s the big day. I’m ready. I do want to keep myself in check though. It’s just a phone. It does some cool things, but at the end of the day it’s just a tool that I use to stay connected. My life doesn’t need to revolve around it, I don’t need to ignore people in conversation just to check my text messages or email. It’s a phone. I get so frustrated when you’re trying to have a conversation with someone and they start checking their phone for new texts or emails. They don’t even say “excuse me” or anything, they just start checking stuff out like it’s the norm.

A little car drama this past week. First, last Friday, my car stereo began to cut in and out and eventually crapped out completely. I spent the evening troubleshooting the problem to no avail. Either all my speakers were blown, there’s a hidden amplifier in my car somewhere, or the stereo itself had given up. I settled on the latter since I’m not aware of any amp and it was highly unlikely that the remaining three working speakers in my vehicle all died at the same time. I put the dash back together and called it a night, hoping to find a new stereo in the next few weeks.
